Our Plan

Homelessness does not equal hopelessness.

H2HH will turn an underused Houston building into a warm, welcoming campus where people can leave the street, feel safe, and find the help that creates a real exit from homelessness.

A new purpose for an existing Houston building.
Reuse what Houston has

Turn a zombie building into a living campus.

Houston has large commercial buildings sitting vacant or underused. H2HH sees more than empty space. We see buildings that can serve people again.

Our plan is to repurpose a suitable property into one connected campus for shelter, recovery, services, and the daily work of moving forward. Reusing an existing structure can put substantial space to work without waiting for an entirely new campus to rise from the ground.

One campus. Two stages of change.

1,100 beds with a purpose beyond the night.

Each part of the campus responds to a different moment in a person’s journey, while one coordinated system keeps the path forward clear.

400
Transitional beds

A safe first step off the street.

Low-barrier shelter, intake, basic needs, stabilization, and a clear connection to the next level of care.

700
Transformational beds

Time, structure, and support to rebuild.

A stable place to address health, recovery, income, identity, employment, and housing—the work that makes a lasting exit possible.

Help in one place

Bring service organizations to the people who need them.

The campus will provide offices and shared working space for organizations serving people experiencing homelessness. Instead of sending someone across Houston to navigate disconnected systems, the right partners can work side by side.

Health and behavioral care

Designed for dignity

A place people can say yes to.

01

Warm welcome

A calm arrival that treats each person as a neighbor, not a problem.

02

Safety every day

A secure place to sleep, recover, make decisions, and begin again.

03

Coordinated help

People and services working from one plan instead of separate silos.

04

Real exits

Success measured by movement into stable housing and a life beyond homelessness.

Not a place to manage homelessness.

A place to help people leave it.

Houston can give an empty building a new purpose—and give thousands of people a real path forward.
